LEDBURY TOWN COUNCIL
PASSING OF “BILL THE BELL”
Ledbury Town Council were saddened to hear of the passing of William Tuberfield affectionately known by many as “Bill the Bell”.
Bill had been the Town Crier in Ledbury for 18-year’s (2001-2018) and during that time he had been a key figure at many town events and could be found “ringing his bell” in the town on a Saturday.
As well as carrying out his duties in Ledbury, Bill was a member of the Guild of Town Criers and had represented Ledbury on many occasions at competitions at both local and international levels.
The thoughts of Councillors past and present are with his family at this time, and he will be forever in the hearts of his “Council family”.
